Amata I Amata II

Mission

We are a leadership girls club dedicated to helping young girls grow in virtue and in leadership through their elementary years (1st - 5th grade).

Our help consists in forming their hearts and character, to love and cultivate what is good.

Our meetings

Our meetings consist of one Virtue talk, an activity of Arts and Crafts, organized games, and lot's of time to grow in friendship with other girls alike.

We meet one Saturday a month from 3pm to 5pm during the months of September thru April.

Our address :

15806 Chatham Wood Dr.

Austin TX , 78717

Why virtues?

Because virtues form our Character, they help us not only recognize the good, but want the good and do it!

Children learn virtues by:

  • Example - what they witness from parents and others

  • Practice - what they are repeatedly led to do

  • Word - what they hear from parents and other respected adults

(James B. Stenson)

In Amata our goal is to help the girls by example, practice and word so they can develop the virtues that they are practicing also in their homes by the guidance and example of their parents. The more our kids see in all their environments how virtue is lived, the more they will succeed achieving it.
